Woz shows up at WWDC

It was a week of big events and big names in tech. It all started early Monday when Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak rolled up to Moscone West in San Francisco on a Segway scooter for Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference.

A new look for the Mac Pro

Apple introduced a new version of the high-end Mac Pro desktop at WWDC 2013. The updated model skips Intel's fourth generation of Core i-series processors, codenamed Haswell, instead sticking with pro-level Xeon processors.

But it's the design of this new Mac Pro that became a conversation topic. Instead of a big square box, the new Pro is a shiny black cylinder that looks like it fell off the engine of a starship.

Successful test flight for flying bike

While we wait for the flying cars NASA is working on, we can ride around town on our flying bikes.

The flying electric bike is the creation of several Czech companies that have been developing a prototype. The proof-of-concept bicycle looks a bit like a regular bike crossed with a giant RC quadcopter.

Sean Parker, his wedding, and redwoods

If you've missed the uproar, just Google "Sean Parker wedding." You'll get on the order of 717,000 results. Or try, "Sean Parker wedding Big Sur." That'll produce scores of results, many with headlines like this: "Internet Mogul Sean Parker Trashes Big Sur Redwood Forest to Create a Fantasy Wedding."

It's all driving Parker crazy, on a number of levels.
