Before levels editing
Photogene's tools are along the left side of the phone when editing. Advanced tool options are displayed at the bottom when a tool is selected. This screenshot was taken before any editing was done to the photo.
After levels editing
This screenshot was taken after the photo levels were edited manually. The histogram and automatic-levels button is at the bottom of the screen. Photogene's developer intends to add individual histograms for red, green, and blue in version 2.0.
Straightening tool
Photogene lets you straighten slanted photos with its straighten tool. The developer plans to add a grid overlay for the straighten and crop tools in version 2.0.
Heat map
The heat map feature can add an interesting effect to images.
Sepia
Photogene has a sepia feature to give digital images a softer, antique look.
Night vision
You, too, can see in the dark! Not really, but with the night vision feature, you can appear to take photos in the dark.
Frames and borders
Photogene has 14 frames you can choose from to enhance your photos.
Bubbles and annotations
It's a snap (well, more of a touch) to add speech boxes and annotations to images.
Cropping tool
You can crop photos with Photogene: just manually select the region you'd like to crop to or constrain the image with preset ratios, like 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, and 3:2.
Horizontal editing
When editing horizontal images, Photogene keeps the tools on the left side of the display to maximize your work area.
