Photos: Griffin Clarifi case for the iPhone 3G
The Griffin Clarifi is an iPhone 3G case with a built-in close-up lens that lets you take macro/close-up shots with your iPhone's camera.
Griffin Clarifi
From the front, the Griffin Clarifi looks like a regular black polycarbonate case -- and an attractive sturdy one at that. But on the back is a sliding lens cover, that helps your iPhone take decent macro shots. The case itself does add a little bit of bulk to the iPhone, but it's not that bad.
Sliding lens cover
The Griffin Clarifi has a sliding lens mechanism, so you can slide it out to take wider shots, and slide it back on for close-up ones.
Watch: Before and after
This is a shot of my watch, without and with the close-up lens. As you can see, the fuzzy image improves dramatically.
Magazine text: Before and after
The Griffin Clarifi works especially well with text. As you can see, the shot without the close-up lens looks just a blur of words. With the lens, the text is now legible.
Business card: Before and after
One of the more useful applications of the Griffin Clarifi is that it makes it that much easier to capture business card information and store it on your phone.
