There has been lots of anticipation for the latest M version of BMW's 3 series, and the fourth generation is here. BMW tuned up a 4-liter V-8 to put out a whopping 420 horsepower, which can push the M3 to 62 mph in 4.8 seconds. The M3 also uses a variable limited slip differential for superior corner holding.

Mercedes-Benz adds the C-class to its AMG line of tuned-up cars. As with its other AMGs, the C63's engine is hand-built and signed by the builder. This engine is a 6.3-liter V-8 putting out 457 horsepower, getting the C63 to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds.

Bentley took its Continental GT, squeezed out a little more power, and added the "Speed" label to it. Bentley ran the horsepower of the GT's W12 engine up to 600. That horsepower translates to a top speed of 202 mph and 0-to-60-mph time of 4.3 seconds.

Porsche pulled out all the stops with the GT2, making it the fastest production Porsche 911 to date. Its engine is only a 3.6-liter boxer six-cylinder, but twin turbos and some serious tuning have it making 530 horsepower. In the GT2, that gives it a 3.7-second 0-to-62-mph time and a top speed of 204 mph.

If an F430 just doesn't perform as well as you would like, Ferrari's got you covered, launching the F430 Scuderia. This version trims out extraneous elements to shave 100 kilograms of weight from the standard F430. Its 4.3-liter V-8 is also tuned up, getting 510 horsepower.

After four years of production, McLaren decides to make the SLR topless. This is the standard McLaren SLR in roadster form, so it has the same engine as its hardtop sibling. That would be a supercharged 5.4-liter V-8, which puts out 626 horsepower. It sprints to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds.

It's the most powerful Audi production car to date, with more horsepower than the R8. The twin turbo V-10 in the RS6 is tuned up to put out 580 horsepower, letting it hit 62 mph in 4.6 seconds.

The Reventon is based on the Murcielago, but it uses extensive carbon fiber for the body, with a stealth fighter design. But it's not just for show, as its powerplant is a 6.5-liter 12-cylinder engine putting out 650 horsepower. Because of its lighter weight, it should edge out the Murcielago in performance.
