Photos: Extremely sexy tech
July is extreme here at CNET and there's nothing that gets our blood pumping more than extremely sexy tech. What makes a gadget hot depends on personal preference, but after many years in the game, we think we've got it pretty dialed in. Click on to find out which nine gadgets we think are sexy to the extreme.
We couldn't help ourselves: We just had to start out with a hot car. With its refined cabin tech, very nice performance, and beautiful design, the 2008 Audi S5 excels in most areas. And if the integrated Bang & Olufsen sound system doesn't scream "sexy," we're not sure what does.
Samsung's LN52A650 dares to be different. In a world of me-too, glossy black flat-panel HDTVs, no few of which may bear the company's own logo, this 52-inch LCD is dressed in red. Lady in red? Hot. Gadget in red? Hotter. Giant HDTV in red? Hottest.
We don't know about you, but we like to be in control...of the remote. While it's missing an RF option, Logitech's Harmony One is one of the best--if not the best--universal remote we've ever tested. And we love the way its sleek, ergonomic design feels in our hand.
These V-Moda earphones are definitely the sexiest thing you can stick in your ear. Far from being standard-looking, the Vibes step out wrapped in flashy chrome or a variety of other metallic hues. You'll definitely want to cheat on your iPod whites with these.
Diamonds are so overplayed. Unless, of course, they're embedded into the back of the feature-packed, super-sleek HTC Touch Diamond smartphone. The only way this mobile could get any sexier is if you wrapped it in a lace case.
How do you make a laser printer sexy? Here's a hint: Design it to look like a nondescript black box. The Samsung SCX-4500's ultra-understated design is what makes it so appealing. It's all about not trying too hard.
Apple's iPod Touch is expensive, but there's no beating it when it comes to design and features. Sometimes you just have to pay a bit extra for class, yet another feature on our sexiness checklist. Plus, we just can't wait to get our hands on a product that so obviously begs to be touched.
Obeying the law is hot, which is why a Bluetooth headset made our list. It's all about hands-free nowadays, and Aliph's Jawbone 2 will help you look good doing it. The headset is available in a variety of colors, including this fetching gold version.
There's nothing we like more than a nice, long soundbar speaker system. Especially one like the Samsung HT-X810T, which includes a built-in DVD player and wireless powered subwoofer, as well as stereo Bluetooth capability and simple setup.
