Photos: Extraterrestrial adventures in the Infiniti FX45

Inspired by the space-age design of the 2007 Infiniti FX45 and the myriad features of its navigation system, we decided to test its tech by taking it on an extraterrestrial adventure. With some help from Google Maps, we devised a modified interplanetary trek around the streets of San Francisco. Check out the snaps from our galactic goose chase.

Finally, not content with our own solar system, we decided on an intergalactic deviation to the Vulcan Staircase. Unfortunately, lack of front-fender ground clearance meant that we couldn't get up it.

The reality was a lot less space-age than we had been led to expect by the map screen.
