Photos: 2007 Honda S2000

The 2007 Honda S2000 is almost pure sports car, more suited for winding roads than trips to the grocery store or the daily commute.

Honda's roadster performs excellently, but hasn't been updated in quite a few years.

Honda uses very well-defined drop-offs on the front fenders' insides, down to the hood.

The power top is convenient, although the front latches can be difficult to work.

Twin exhausts signal this car's performance, while transparent covers over the rear brake light assemblies give it a European look.

The cabin of the S2000 is a bit cramped and can be a difficult fit for taller people.

The stereo in the S2000 hasn't been updated since the car's launch. Its single CD slot doesn't play MP3 CDs, nor is there an auxiliary input jack or any way of plugging in an iPod. Fortunately, it's a standard single DIN head unit and can be replaced.

The S2000 sports the most unique remote audio controls of any car on the left side of its dashboard. These controls are convenient to use and mirror the A/C controls on the right side.

With rear wheel drive, tightly tuned steering, and a limited slip differential, the S2000 handles extremely well, turning like it's on a turntable.

The six-speed manual gearbox is a pleasure to use, with each gear snicking precisely into place.

Squeezing 237 horsepower out of a 2.2-liter four cylinder, without a turbocharger, is near miraculous.
