Phones that beat iPhone 5 in U.S. user satisfaction (pictures)

iPhone 5 was rated fifth in user satisfaction, behind Android-based phones from Motorola, HTC, and Samsung, says a poll from OnDevice Research.

Phones that beat iPhone 5 in U.S.?

Though Apple's iPhone still the reigns as "the phone that redefined phones," there are four Android phones from Motorola, HTC, and Samsung that U.S. users like better than iPhone 5 and have rated higher for user satisfaction, according to a poll from OnDevice Research.

iPhone 5 fares better in the U.K.

In the OnDevice Research poll, the iPhone 5 fared better in the U.K. than in the U.S. Among 52,140 people polled in the U.K., it ranked second behind HTC's One X. Samsung's Galaxy Note 2 ranked third, followed by the Galaxy S3 Mini and the full-size Galaxy S3.

Among 52,140 people polled in the U.K., HTC's One X took the top spot, followed by the iPhone 5. Samsung's Galaxy Note 2 ranked third, followed by the Galaxy S3 Mini and the full-size Galaxy S3.

The CNET verdict: "The Galaxy S3 Mini has a very similar design to the S3, but internally it uses a significantly slower processor. It still delivers a pretty slick user experience thanks to Android Jelly Bean, but the screen and camera aren't on a par with those of the S3."

Among 52,140 people polled in the U.K., the iPhone 5 took second place behind HTC's One X. Samsung's Galaxy Note 2 was No. 3 for user satisfaction, followed by its Galaxy S3 Mini and the full-size Galaxy S3.
