Path Talk lets you chat up local businesses (pictures)
This app has the look and feel of a modern messaging client, but offers a standout feature you have to try.
Path Talk
The new Places feature for Path Talk adds new life to this underused chat client. According to iTunes, it's "available first" in the US and Canada, so it may be expanded to other locations in the future.
The signup process is easy, taking only a few minutes and a quick verification text message.
Places!
Did I mention you can place a to-go order using Path Talk's Places feature?
Map
A map of local businesses you can send a message to is displayed when you select the Places tab.
Below that is a history of the messages you've sent to a business, along with examples of messages other users have sent to businesses.
What's the special?
A simple question, yet one I often wonder before getting to a restaurant.
Now I can get an answer within a few minutes.
Still helpful
In one case, even though the original message I sent never arrived, the Path Agent was still very helpful when I attempted to follow up.
Sharing
Part of the messenger aspect of Path Talk is that you can share personal information with your Friends based on your location and what your device is doing.
