Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 photos
Equipped with a pancake prime lens, the GF3 finally achieves point-and-shoot-like size, comparable to the Sony Alpha NEX series. With the 14-42mm kit lens or a nonpancake prime, though, it loses its pocketability.
In addition to black, the GF3 will be available in white, red, and brown.
When equipped with the 14mm prime, the GF3 is pretty compact.
The camera is roughly the same size as the Sony Alpha NEX-C3.
You can push the flash backwards for bouncing.
The GH3 has a slim profile and drops from the stereo mic of the GH2 to mono.
Though it has a virtual mode dial, there's a physical button/dial control for exposure compensation, white balance, drive mode and focus area. The GH3 updates to iA+ mode (compared to the GH2's iA) which adds brightness and color adjustments to auto.
Along with the GH3, Panasonic announced a Leica 25mm f1.4 Micro Four Thirds lens.
With the 14-42mm kit lens, the GH3, like most of its competitors, isn't that compact.
As long as Iris the Destroyer wouldn't leave me alone, I put her to work.
