Studio shot
Our standard studio shot showed decent color resolution and light levels. Also, there was little image noise.
Night with flash
Night shots were quite good, though as with many camera phones, bright lights like the streetlamps were a lot for the camera to handle. In this shot we used the flash.
Night without flash
Night shots without the flash were about the same.
Here's a shot from the same location on a bright cloudy day. The camera did a good job separating the light from the shadows.
Sunny day
Shots on a sunny day under clear skies looked great.
Interior sunlight
The Nexus One's camera captures sunlight well, as in this shot taken inside under a glass roof.
Kent German/CNET
On the other hand, fluorescent lighting tended to overpower the camera.
Close flash
The flash is quite bright. At close range in a dark room it illuminated the subject fully.
Far flash
From a few feet, however, the flash is less effective.
The long shutter lag means the objects in motion will be blurry.
