MythBusters: 4 minutes of science, 10 minutes of injuries (images)

On Tuesday, the show "MythBusters" made national news by accidentally firing a cannonball into a Dublin, Calif., neighborhood. Fortunately, no one was injured, although multiple houses were damaged by the flying metal.

The mishap was not the first involving the show. Over its long history, MythBusters has had all kinds of accidents--and a few injuries, although always to its hosts.

Unfortunately for "MythBusters" co-host Tory Bellici, getting hit in the groin is just part of the job. In one episode, Bellici was kicked there by a goat. Click here for a video of the incident.

During the taping of an episode in which host Adam Savage tried to demonstrate what it was like to run drunkenly on a treadmill, the famous co-host slipped and fell off the treadmill. Click here for a video of the mishap.

In the taping of one episode, Bellici attempted to demonstrate what would happen if he jumped off a wall and onto a bed. As someone in the studio warns him not to do it, Bellici jumped, and took a header. Click here for video of his fall.

In 2009, the MythBusters went to tiny Esparto, Calif., to try to see if they could literally blow the socks off a mannequin. Instead, the explosion they created blew out windows around town, and even knocked one woman off her couch. Click here for a news video of the event.
