The first Razr of them all, the GSM V3 debuted with Cingular in late 2004 and then arrived at T-Mobile later the next year. Silver was the first color available.
The sleek black version of the Razr V3 was the second model available. It landed at both Cingular and T-Mobile.
The magenta V3 for T-Mobile brought the first splash of color to the Razr.
Cingular countered with its own brightly-colored version, the pink Razr V3.
Cingular introduced a blue version of the Razr V3 and late rolled out a pearl gray edition as well.
The first CDMA Razr, the V3c for Verizon Wireless was the first 3G (EV-DO) Razr. Though Verizon also introduced a pink model, the silver version came to US Cellular and Alltel.
Not long after it rolled out the V3c Verizon Wireless introduced its second Razr, the V3m. The new model, which came in pink as well, added a music player and an external memory slot. Recently Amp'd Mobile picked up its own version of the phone.
Cingular's long-awaited V3i brought iTunes compatibility to the Razr. It also comes in dark blue, maroon and violet. And don't forget the blinged-out Dolce and Gabanna version in gold.
Though it's not available with a U.S. carrier the Razr V3x supports 3G (HSDPA) networks and offers two digital cameras, a music player and an external memory slot.
The new Razr Maxx offers much of the same features as the Razr V3x but it adds touch-sensitive music controls on its front face. It's a bit smaller than its predecessor as well.
