Motorola Cliq XT
The candy bar Cliq XT is thinner than its predecessor, and its skin is a rather drab gray. As it runs MotoBlur, you'll notice the associated widgets on the central home screen (you get five home screens total). Below the display are four touch controls and the trackpad.
The main menu has a standard Android icon design.
The virtual keyboard looks a bit different from the traditional Android keyboard. It works in both portrait and landscape modes.
Here is the keyboard in landscape mode. We like the Cliq XT's solid feel in the hand.
The Cliq XT uses Swype technology, which allows you to type messages by sliding your finger between the needed keys. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it's an innovative touch. Luckily, you get a list of suggested words in case your swipes aren't read correctly.
The rear side of the Cliq XT has a textured material. The camera lens and flash are at right.
The trim Cliq XT features controls on both spines.
