Meet the Sony PlayStation Vita TV (pictures)
The new multimedia-streaming station connects to the PS4. It will let people play games remotely and will offer video via Hulu and the PlayStation store.
PS Vita TV
The new PlayStation Vita TV, unveiled Monday by Sony, will serve as a multimedia-streaming station that connects to the PlayStation 4. Among other things, it will allow people to play games remotely from the PS4 on a TV in another room using a DualShock 3 controller.
No wasted space
The slim PS Vita TV measures just 6.5x10.5cm, or about 2.6x4.1 inches. It will retail at 9,480 yen (US $95) in Japan, where it will arrive on November 14, ahead of its international release.
HDMI and Ethernet ports
The Vita TV will also offer video-on-demand and network services with video content from Tsutaya TV, Hulu, and the PlayStation store. The ports on the Vita TV include HDMI and Ethernet.
Play games
Sony said there will be up to 1,300 Vita titles that can be played using the Vita TV with the DualShock 3 controller.
