The Joby Gorillatorch Blade is the newest, smallest, and brightest member of the Gorillatorch line of hands-free flashlights. It's also the most expensive.
Like most Joby products, the Gorillatorch Blade features three flexible legs that hold their position when bent to nearly any angle.
The legs feature neodymium magnets embedded in the feet, which allows the Blade to cling to metal surfaces.
The flashlight can be separated from the legs and used in a more conventional fashion.
The LED flashlight outputs 65 lumens in a 160-degree beam in its standard mode. Battery life at this level is estimated at 6.5 hours.
By twisting the head, the beam of light can be focused into a 30-degree spotlight.
For people who need even more light, the Blade features a 130 lumen boost mode, which it can maintain in 3-minute bursts for up to 2.5 hours.
When the battery gets low, the Gorillatorch Blade can be recharged via this hidden USB port.
While charging, this status LED glows blue.
The Gorillatorch Blade ships with a USB charging cable and this AC to USB wall adapter.
The flexible legs feature rubber rings to enhance grip when wrapped around an anchor point.
We found the adjustable beam and output useful for getting the right amount of light exactly where needed.
The Joby Gorillatorch Blade retails for $59.95.
