AT&T has created a home security system that can control everything from your front-door lock and alarms to your coffee machine called Digital Life (read CNET's report).

The company debuted the technology at an event in a private house in New Orleans' Garden District.

The Digital Life system can also raise or lower your blinds. It can apparently work with anything in the house that has an on-and-off switch.

While AT&T designed multiple scenarios and preloaded them to show how it works, you will have to customize your settings for each room that's connected to Digital Life.
