Images: CNET readers pitch in for White House PR

On the heels of the failed presidential plane publicity stunt, CNET readers offer some (photoshopped) Air Force One flyby shots of their own.

Last month, a plane sometimes used as Air Force One was flown low over the Hudson River for a photo op, costing more than $300,000 and evoking for people on the ground memories of September 11.

After learning about the failed publicity stunt, we decided to test our readers' public relations chops.

Keeping our eye on technology in mind, we asked them to submit recession-friendly publicity shots of Air Force One flyovers (with a little help from their favorite photo-editing tools.)

This one, submitted by CNET reader Jim Levine, shows Air Force One flying low over an original tech landmark, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, who is rolling along on a Segway.

Star Trek flyby

Now we know President Obama is addicted to his BlackBerry, and gave the queen an iPod. But Germund Andersson of Sweden takes the president to a new level of tech geekiness with his flyby of Star Trek's USS Enterprise.

Tech over Chrysler

With all the help the White House has been giving the struggling auto industry lately, reader Brad Rehnstrom has seen Air Force One coming and going from Detroit quite a lot lately. He submitted this shot of the presidential plane over Chrysler.

We couldn't help but participate with this shot of Air Force One over the San Francisco headquarters of CBS Interactive, which publishes CNET. It must be enroute to a Giants game.
