HTC CEO Peter Chou
HTC CEO Peter Chou introduces the HTC Rezound with Beats Audio for Verizon Wireless.
HTC, Beats Audio collaboration
The Rezound is a collaboration between HTC and Beats Audio. The smartphone integrates Beats Audio technology and promises deeper bass and crisper vocals. The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer acquired a majority stake in Beats Electronics back in August.
Custom headphones
The smartphone will also come with a custom set of Beats headphones with tangle-free wires and remote control.
Verizon exclusive
The HTC Rezound will be a Verizon exclusive and will go on sale November 14 for $299.99 with a two-year contract.
Features
The HTC Rezound is a high-end device, featuring a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4G LTE, and the latest version of Sense. The smartphone is expected to get an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in early 2012.
Display
The Rezound is HTC's first smartphone to boast a 720p HD display.
Camera
It also has an 8-megapixel camera with f2.2 lens, instant capture, panorama mode, and burst mode.
Slow motion
The phone's camera can shoot and play back 1080p HD video and adds a slow-motion feature.
Verizon red
Like HTC has done with several other Verizon phones, the inside of the Rezound is red.
