HTC is throwing itself into its relationship with Windows Phone 7 with all the enthusiasm of young love, announcing a triplet of phones with the OS today, and another one in the oven.

The HTC 7 Mozart sports an 8-megapixel camera, the HTC HD7 has a huge 4.3-inch screen and a kickstand, and the HTC 7 Trophy nestles in the middle with a 5-megapixel camera and a 3.8-inch screen. Meanwhile, the HTC 7 Pro, coming in a couple of months, will have a slide-out Qwerty keyboard.

The phones look similar, especially since HTC isn't allowed to mess with Microsoft's squareish user interface. HTC won't be able to add its Sense interface, like it did to its Android and Windows Mobile phones. Instead, the Taiwanese wizard will have to stick with some exclusive weather and stocks apps.

Redmond also dictates some pretty strict minimum specs for phones running Windows Phone 7, so all the HTC handsets have large capacitive touchscreens, three buttons -- back, home and search -- and Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G on board.

The Mozart features an aluminium case, built similarly to the one on the HTC Legend -- although the Mozart doesn't have the Legend's quirky design.
