HTC ChaCha, Salsa hands-on (photos)

The Facebook phone is real, and there are two. Check out CNET's hands-on photos of the HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa.

Bonnie Cha
Bonnie Cha was a former chief correspondent for CNET Crave, covering every kind of tech toy imaginable (with a special obsession for robots and Star Wars-related stuff). When she's not scoping out stories, you can find her checking out live music or surfing in the chilly waters of Northern California.

HTC Salsa

The HTC Salsa is one of two Facebook phones introduced at Mobile World Congress 2011, the other being the HTC ChaCha. Both Android smartphones are expected to ship in Q2 and will come to the U.S. later this year as AT&T exclusives. Pricing, however, was not announced at this time.

HTC was being rather strict about us handling the smartphones on our own, since the software wasn't final, but we were able to get a bit of a closer look under supervision.

HTC ChaCha

In addition to launching the Facebook app, the dedicated button is context-aware, so if you're taking a photo, for example, it will pulse lightly to remind you that you can upload the image directly to Facebook with just a touch of the button.
