Adding records to your collection takes only a few clicks of a mouse

To add a record to your Discog's collection, search the database for the album then click on the arrow to the right of the release to select whether you want to add it to your collection, want list, or another custom list you made.

If you own many records from one band or artist, you can go to their page and simply add all of the records you own by going down the list of their releases. If your collection isn't complete, you can also add the albums you need to your want list at the same time.

Selecting the correct pressing is a drop-down menu away

If you're only adding a single album to your collection, the process is the same. Just search by album, find the correct media format and pressing, then select "add to your collection." To make sure you're adding the right pressing, look for the year and record label somewhere on the record sleeve or center label.

Who doesn't like color-coded charts?

When looking at a collection list, the color-coded bars to the left of the releases give more information about its database entry. Yellow is a recently added submission, red means the entry needs changes, and grey means the entry was recently edited.

The quick lister page makes selling records at a flea market seem like a hard day of work

Selling your records on Discogs using their quick lister page is a simple task. After you've listed the record you plan on selling to your collection, go to your list, select the album, and then click the "Sell your vinyl" button.

Every detail counts when listing a record for sale

Once you're directed to the next page, choose the media condition, sleeve condition (optional), comments, and price. If the album has been sold on the Web site before, it shows you the highest, lowest, average, and median price the record has sold for. You can then name your price and list the record for sale.

Discogs makes it easy by keeping tabs on your tabs

The tabs at the top of the page make navigating your collection list easy. The "My Discogs" button to the far right allows you to access all of the same tabs no matter what page you are surfing on the Web site.
