Meet the Honor 6 by Honor.

Don't be surprised if you haven't heard of Honor before. It's a new brand name Huawei has launched for a range of phones for Europe designed to provide a high-end mobile experience at a more affordable price.

The Honor 6 is the first phone to launch under the Honor name and will be on sale on Amazon for £250 SIM free. US pricing and availability is yet to be announced.

Although its price puts it squarely in the low to mid-range, it's not a bad looking bit of kit.

Its black glass front and back and metallic edging gives it a look rather reminiscent of the iPhone 4.

Inside, it's packing an oct-core processor, made up of two quad-core chips clocked at 1.7GHz and 1.3GHz, along with a hearty 3GB of RAM.

It uses older Android 4.4.2 KitKat software.

The 5-inch display has a 1,920x1,080-pixel resolution, giving it a higher pixel density (440ppi) than top-end phones like the Samsung Galaxy S5 (432ppi). For a phone with this cheap a price tag, that's impressive.

It has the same Android skin you'll find on other Huawei phones.

It's fairly easy to use, although there's no app tray as you'd find with other Android phones. All your apps will instead be found scattered across the numerous home screens.

There's a 13-megapixel camera on the back.

It's not the skinniest phone in existence, but you won't struggle to slide it into your pocket.

The phone has 16GB of built-in storage, but there's a microSD card slot on the side allowing you to expand it.
