WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif.--About 200 fans of all ages (some in full costume) streamed into the GameStop store on the outskirts of Hollywood late last night to be among the first in L.A. to play and buy the new video game Batman: Arkham City.
One lucky fan got to take home this life-size statue of the Dark Knight to adorn his or her own Bat Cave.
GameStop set up multiple playing stations so fans could preview Batman: Arkham City--and more than 100 waited patiently for that opportunity. Batman: Arkham City is the sequel to the successful Batman: Arkham Asylum, a game that saw everyone's favorite haunted hero take on the Joker and other villains inside a gloomy loony bin.
Villains including the Penguin, the Joker, and Dr. Hugo Strange confront the Caped Crusader in Batman: Arkham City. The PS3 and Xbox 360 title includes more realistic, human representations of those characters.
