Trying on GlassUp smartglasses
LAS VEGAS -- The GlassUp smartglasses look nothing like Google Glass, and that's a good thing. These sporty frames resemble cycling glasses and beam the head-up display right on the lens.
Design
This prototype is a bit clunky and bound together by tape. No matter -- it gives you an idea of how the crowd-funded frames will look.
It's all about projection
Light and mirrors project directions, text, alerts, and more onto the right plastic lens.
Adjustable frames
Most of these smartframes are too big for my face, but these adjustable nosepads help.
Ahead of the curve
Curved earpieces help keep the frames balanced on your face and hugging your head.
