My Magazine is Flipboard in disguise
Possibly taking a cue from HTC's BlinkFeed, the Note 10.1 tablet (2014 edition) and Note 3 smartphone conceal a version of Flipboard within its home screen matrix. Flick up from the bottom of the screen (or press the home button three times) to launch the magazine-style newsfeed.
Acceptance is key
Before getting started, accept Flipboard's terms and conditions.
Feed me
The news feed is straightforward, showcasing a panel of stories and photos.
Browse and rearrange
Reorder categories to see news that's important to you first, and browse by genre to prioritize the content of your headlines.
Limited customization
Although there's room for choosing the types of stories you want to read, you won't have a say over which publications My Magazine pulls from.
Exit gracefully
Tap the arrow on the right for navigation away from My Magazine and into other apps, like the dialer and Google search.
Magazine reading
Due to Flipboard's influence, the magazine-style reading really pops. Pages virtually fold and flip to reveal more content.
Tablet view
Scroll down on the Note tablet to view a range of stories from your posse of chosen categories.
Phone view
The My Magazine arrangement is understandably more vertical on the Note 3.
