Feast your eyes on Samsung's Four-Door Food Showcase fridge (pictures)
Samsung makes four-door fridges. Samsung makes Food Showcase fridges. This year, the Korean conglomerate asks, "Why not both?"
Samsung Four-Door Flex Food Showcase Refrigerator
Samsung's released a lot of four-door refrigerators over the past few years, but this one is the first to add in door-in-a-door Food Showcase functionality.
Inside, you'll find 28 cubic feet of storage space.
The right door is divided into two halves. Pull it open from the bottom "Food Showcase" section, and you'll open the door's front panel, instead.
This lets you access the in-door shelves without actually opening the fridge itself.
Of course, you can still open the door normally, too.
You'll find touch controls on the left door, including the controls for the refrigerator's "FlexZone."
That FlexZone is actually the entire bottom left section of the refrigerator. It's part of the freezer by default, but you have the option of dialing it up into fridge mode, giving you extra fresh food storage space.
So what's a fridge with Food Showcase and Flex functionality worth? Samsung tells us it'll sell for $3,400 when it makes its retail debut this spring. International availability is yet to be determined, but that price comes out to about £2,340, or AU$4,870.
