Evernote is a wildly popular note-taking service and the company's Android app is a great place to save important thoughts and photos.

Navigation menu

The Android version of Evernote has a clean, simple menu for finding all of your notes.

Quick-add menu

There's a float menu that appears on most pages in the app that lets you add new notes, photos, attachments, audio recordings and more.

Adding to your notes

Within a text note, you can add photos, attach files and edit the text formatting.

Browse notebooks

A big part of the Evernote Android app is browsing for notes you've already created in the service. You can access all of your notes and notebooks and search helps you find just what you want.

Context

In the newest version of the app, Evernote adds a feature called Context. It puts related articles from selected publications below your notes, where relevant. It's only available to premium subscribers; those with a free account will see related notes in this space.

Work Chat

Another recently added feature is Work Chat, which lets you chat with other in Evernote. It's best for coworkers who want to chat about projects and share Evernote notes.
