A slow cooker unlike any other

Chances are good that you've used a slow cooker before -- but have you ever slow cooked a meal inside of a bag, using almost no electricity? That's what the Wonderbag promises, and we'll show you how it works.

Start on the stove

First, you'll bring your dish up to boiling temperature on the stove or in the oven.

In the bag

Next, you'll transfer your dish into the bag, where the insulated cloth shell will trap all of the heat. Make sure to place a potholder between the bottom of the pot and the inside of the Wonderbag -- otherwise, you'll melt right through the fabric.

Insulation above, too

Place the insulated cap over the top of your pot to keep much heat from escaping upward.

Seal it shut

Pull the drawstring as tight as possible to keep that heat trapped inside -- and keep your food cooking.

Bundled up

Once your dish is securely inside the bag, all you need to do is wait. Thanks to the retained heat, the food will continue to cook, staying warm for up to 12 hours.

Multi-purpose

Since it needs no power, the Wonderbag is perfect for camping, tailgating, or traveling. It's also handy during the holidays, when kitchen space is at a premium. In a pinch, you can even toss an icepack in and use it as a makeshift cooler.

A slow cooker with a conscience

The Wonderbag was created for use in developing nations, where it helps impoverished families reduce their fuel expenses. Purchase one on Amazon, and Wonderbag will donate another to a family in need.
