Check out Motorola's new affordable, rubberised Moto X Play (pictures)

Motorola has unveiled a host of new phones including a new Moto G and two new Moto X handsets -- a high end Moto X Style (called the Pure in the US) and the Moto X Play, seen here.

The Play is the cheaper of the two Moto X phones and has a smaller 5.5-inch display.

It'll be available in September globally, although specific prices are yet to be announced.

Like the existing Moto X, it has a full HD 1,920x1,080-pixel resolution. This is a step below the 4K display on the Moto X Style.

It's available in a wide range of colours, including this bright lime green affair.

The camera on the back has a 21-megapixel resolution, which Motorola claims delivers impressive low light performance.

It runs a version of Android Lollipop that is totally untampered with by Motorola -- you get the pure Android experience, free of clunky manufacturer bloatware.

The rubberised back feels really nice to hold.

It's quite slim, too.

The headphone jack sits at the top, next to the nano SIM tray.

The two strips on the front are stereo speakers.

There's a 1.6GHz processor inside, which should keep everything ticking along nicely.
