Blu who?
Blu is a relatively new manufacturer we met for the first time at CTIA this spring. While most Blu handsets are destined for South America, we were able to sample its wares with the Blu Tango, an unlocked, GSM Android world phone that sells for about $170.
Build quality
The Tango looks like a decent entry-level Android handset on the outside, but we had issues with a cheap build quality. We did appreciate the soft-touch backing, however.
Screen size
The 2.8-inch touch screen is far too small for comfortably typing on Android's virtual keypad.
Resistance is frustrating
The resistive display means that you have to press slightly harder, and we had to use a nail tip or pen point, for the best accuracy. The 600 MHz processor also frustrated with laggy performance.
Camera
Blu wears its logo proudly. It also features a 3.2-megapixel camera that takes acceptable shots.
Profile view
The Tango is rather thick around the middle. However, you will be able to insert a microSD card up to 32GB storage into its side. Read our full review for more details and a video.
