While you may have seen things like the Galaxy Note II and a deluge of hybrid tablet and laptop concoctions (can we call them tabtops?), plenty more great toys were on display for gadget lovers.

This is Justin Bieber's favourite dancing robot. No, really, it is. The mRobo from Tosy dances around to its own tunes ad nauseam, or until the batteries run out. Cute.

This one is peculiar. From what the booth attendant said, these are NAS units that can take pride of place on display somewhere in your home. Hence the Mona Lisa. Don't quite understand why you would want to make something that houses a lot of your precious digital data attractive to thieves and/or art heist fans.

"CAT" is usually a brand synonymous with bulldozers and heavy, durable machinery. They now make a range of smartphones and regular mobiles with some serious tough-cred. Word on the street is that we should be seeing one of these phones in Australia from next year.

... I don't know about you, but if someone pulled out a screen from their car to play Wii Sports, I wouldn't be getting in the back seat.

Sony had a range of new toys on show at IFA, including this peculiarity: the Tap 20 tabletop PC. While it's touted as transportable, thanks to a built-in battery, this thing is heavy.

Around the back, there's a convenient stand, just in case your biceps aren't up to scratch.

With enough mood lighting, any tablet can look great. Just kidding; the Xperia Tablet from Sony is a bit of a stunner, being thinner than the previous Tablet S. It's also splash-resistant.

Everyone loves a giant dongle — or so they say. If you like HDMI, enjoy the luxury of a non-functioning giant replica to spin around in your living room.
