Dell XPS 11
Dell's new XPS 11 is a convertible notebook one of the most buzzed-about during the week that brought us Intel's next-gen CPU launch and the Computex technology trade show. It has a flip-around screen design and a flat one-piece keyboard, and the 11.6-inch 2,560x1,440-pixel-resolution display has a high pixel density, comparable to a Retina Macbook. Read more here.

Sony Vaio Pro 11
The Sony Vaio Pro 11 is an excellent little laptop for frequent travelers or daily commuters. You're paying for a reduction in size and weight here, so if you don't need to travel with a laptop regularly, there are certainly less-expensive options. But for those who spend more time working in coffee shops and airports than in an office, it's a smart choice.
Sony Vaio Duo 13
For a more traditional PC experience, Sony's other new systems (the Vaio Pro 11 and Pro 13) are fantastic no-compromise machines. The hybrid laptop/tablet Duo 13 is ambitious, if less universally useful, but a definite improvement over the 11-inch original model from last year.
