Solid music streaming

Beats Music, developed by the same company that makes headphones and speakers, is a paid music-streaming service with 20 million songs that you can stream over the Internet, or download to listen on the go.

Personalized music

One of Beats' biggest strengths is that the app learns from your musical tastes to recommend new artists, albums, and playlists. The Just for You screen, above, shows all your personalized suggestions.

The Sentence

If you don't really know who or want you want to listen to, but just want some tunes for your backyard BBQ or workout session, The Sentence will help you out. Just tell the app a little about your location and mood, and it creates a playlist for you.

Pause and play

Once you start playing a track, you can control playback with the screen above. You can pause, play, and skip the song, but also tell the app if you like it or not. That helps Beats understand your preferences and make better suggestions the more you rate music.

Manage the music

For each track and album, you can also add that music to your personal library, add it to a new or existing playlist, or download it to your device for offline listening.

Library

Your library is where you can keep songs and albums you like, so that you can play them whenever you want. Adding music to your library does not make it available offline.

DJ your playlist

Beats Music comes packed with hundreds of playlists to suit any mood or activity. You can also create your own playlist, and download it listen without an Internet connection.
