What do you get when you take the Audi TT, yank out the 2.0-liter turbo-four, and drop in a 2.5-liter TFSI five-cylinder? Audi is going to show us when it unveils the Audi TT RS at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show.
Audi TT RS preview
Due to bow at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show, the Audi TT RS boosts the performance of the TT S sports coupe to the next level.
Under the hood, the Audi TT's 2.0-liter turbo-four has been replaced with a 2.5-liter TFSI inline-five in the RS trim level. In this configuration, the RS produces 340 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque. Zero to 60 happens in less than five seconds, as the RS continues onward to an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
Power is directed to the road through a six-speed manual transmission and Audi's quattro all-wheel drive system. Brakes and suspension packages have also been boosted to match the performance of the engine.
