Apple decorates the Metreon

Apple is busy decorating downtown San Francisco this week in preparation for the Worldwide Developers Conference, its annual developers event, which takes place at Moscone West beginning Monday. Even the adjacent mall, the Metreon seen here, just across Fourth Street, has been wrapped in Apple designs this year.

As is typical ahead of these major Apple events, fans and analysts are busy making their wish lists for products and features to be added to the next generation of iOS and OS X software.

Join CNET on Monday, June 10, for the keynote event live blog.

X or OS X?

Apple teases simply "X" believed to be OS X. Curiously enough it's just a wave instead of a cat, sparking speculation Apple could be going with a new naming scheme for the next iteration of its desktop OS.
