The 4S sports the same design as the iPhone 4. That doesn't bother me too much, but I think Apple's device is overdue for a larger display.
You'll notice a few minor changes on the home screen such as the new Reminders feature to separate icons for the music and video players.
The 4S' profile is unchanged as well. You won't notice it from the outside, but the 4S has two cellular antennas. During calls, it will switch automatically to the antenna that has the better signal.
The glass back continues to make me nervous. I recommend using a case to fully protect your handset.
The volume control and ringer switch remain on the left side. The antenna gap at the extreme left is unique to the CDMA models.
The Home button has its usual shape.
The second camera is next to the speaker.
The 4S does, however, have a solid feel in the hand. You don't always find that with superskinny devices.
The virtual keyboard is no different, either.
Siri is the new voice assistant unique to the 4S. She's friendly, informative, and feisty.
Thanks to iOS 5 you now can activate gridlines in the camera viewfinder.
The toggle switches in the Settings menu look different.
