Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is skinny, light, and shines bright (pictures)
Amazon's updated Kindle Paperwhite has an improved backlit display with higher contrast, letting you read comfortably long into the night.
The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is lighter than its predecessor and has a higher-contrast display. It starts at $119 for the Wi-Fi only, ad-supported version, or pay an extra $20 for no ads.
Its matte black back looks neat, but picks up fingerprints very easily.
It of course has full access to Amazon's extensive e-book library.
It's skinny and weighs only 206g -- a great choice for chucking in your carry-on luggage.
There are no physical buttons on the bottom -- the Paperwhite is entirely touch-screen-based.
As expected, there are a host of cases available for you to wrap it up in.
Go plain, or go for something a bit fancier.
Or find something more sensible if you don't like the pizzazz.
