Alcatel Pixi 3
First, I'll introduce you to the Alcatel tablets I had the pleasure of previewing at CES 2016. Then I'll dig into each with a little more details.
I'll start with the smallest first. This is the Alcatel Pixi 3.
Alcatel Xess
And this is the Alcatel Xess. As you can tell, it's very different from the Pixi 3-- and very big.
Windows 10 and 4G
But back to the Pixi 3. It's an 8-inch tablet that runs Windows 10 and features high-speed 4G data capabilities.
Compact size
It's not incredibly thin, but its small size makes it easy to carry around.
More storage
It has a microSD card slot that's expandable up to 32GB, which is good news considering it comes with a measly 8GB of internal storage.
Plain, simple and hopefully cheap.
The Pixi 3's design is reflective of my feelings on it; plain and simple. Maybe its purported $200 price tag can save it.
Alcatel Xess
On a more exciting design note, if you consider big tablets exciting, the Alcatel bears a unique design for a 17.3-inch tablet.
Built-in handle
On the back of the Xess you'll find a circular handle for carrying it around. You didn't think you could just carry it like a normal tablet, did you?
Built-in stand
The silver handle doubles as a stand so you can prop it up while you stream video or search the Web.
Easily adjustable
You can also set it at a lower profile if that works better for your situation.
