Acer's 14-inch Timeline Ultra notebook

LAS VEGAS--Acer took the wraps off its latest generation of Ultra notebooks today with new 14- and 15-inch models.

On the list of features is 20mm thickness, 8-hour battery life, 1.5 second resume, and the company's Instant Connect technology, which lets owners wake up the computer through the Web.
