2018 Mazda MX-5 Miata Club: A pure and simple sports car

For 2018, the Mazda MX-5 Miata is mostly unchanged, with power coming from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 155 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque.

A six-speed manual transmission is standard, while a six-speed automatic can be had as an option.

The Club version of the MX-5 gets an uprated suspension with Bilstein shocks, front strut tower bar and Bridgestone Potenza summer tires.

A limited-slip differential is also standard on the MX-5 Club.

To further improve performance, Brembo front brakes and forged BBS wheels are available as options.

Club models also feature exclusive styling touches. On the outside, it receives a black air dam, side sill extensions, rear lip spoiler and rear bumper skirt.

For the interior, Recaro seats are a new-for-2018 option.

For infotainment, the Mazda Connect system with a 7-inch screen controls the nine-speaker Bose audio setup, navigation, satellite radio and Bluetooth.

Sadly, the MX-5's Mazda Connect system is still not capable of running either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

The 2018 Mazda MX-5 Club starts at $30,055, which includes $895 destination.
