2015 Buick LaCrosse: Comfortable, connected cruiser (pictures)

The LaCrosse is Buick's full size sedan. The model shown here is in top trim, called Premium 2 by Buick.

The LaCrosse is a front-wheel-drive car, although it can be had in all-wheel-drive format.

A high roofline creates comfortable cabin space.

Despite not having an air suspension, the LaCrosse offers a comfortable ride with competent handling.

Rather than simple slats in the grille, vertical members create a nice sculptural element.

Shown here is the available direct injection 3.6-liter engine. A mild hybrid, based on a four-cylinder, is also available.

These 20-inch wheels feature a pleasing design.

The trunk lid opens in such a way as to offer easy access to luggage.

Leather-covered power adjustable seats also feature heating and cooling.

The rear seat is very comfortable for two, and reasonable for three.

Buick uses a trim-line curving around the top of the dashboard  and running into the doors.

At the top trim, the IntelliLink system, with its 8-inch touchscreen, comes standard.

Electric power steering makes the wheel easy to turn, but the steering remains responsive.

The instrument cluster uses an LCD in its center, with a digital speed read-out, and analog gauges to the sides.

A six-speed automatic transmission gets the power to the wheels.

The back-up camera features trajectory lines.

Driver-assistance features can be turned on with buttons on the top of the dashboard.

IntelliLinks homescreen shows eight icons for different features.

The navigation system shows maps in plan or perspective views.

The weather function shows the weather forecast for the car's locality.

The hands-free phone system includes contact list integration, letting you see all your contacts on the touchscreen.

Satellite radio offers many music channels.

Onboard media sources include Bluetooth streaming and a USB port for iOS devices or USB drives.

The instrument cluster can also show the currently playing track.

Voice command works very well, and controls most cabin tech features.
