You will be able to get rid of Apple's preinstalled apps in iOS 10
The latest version of Apple's mobile operating system allows users to uninstall up to 23 preinstalled apps on the iPhone and iPad.
There are nearly 30 apps that come on every iPhone and iPad that can't be uninstalled, but that may soon change. Apple on Monday released a developer preview of iOS 10. While it wasn't announced during the company's WWDC keynote, the operating system includes the ability to uninstall up to 23 of Apple's preinstall apps. The list includes high-profile apps like Apple Music and Apple Maps.
An application can be uninstalled by long-pressing the icon until it begins to shake, then clicking the X icon in the top corner. You can reinstall previously deleted Apple apps in the App Store. This doesn't mean, however, that you can set a different app as the default. For example, if you were to delete Apple Maps and then attempt to open an address from Messages or Safari, you will be asked if you would like to restore Apple Maps, rather than the operating system asking you to choose another app.
