Yamaha and Adaptec firmware updates in the works

Yamaha 4416 update coming Expect a Yamaha CRW4416 1.0g firmware update soon. Wes Palmer has been working with a beta version and said it fixed "the wide/narrow negotiation problem I had where the 4416 CD drive would hang the bus" - when running the 1.0f update (as mentioned here previously).

Adaptec 2940U2B update coming We have word that Adaptec is working on a firmware updater for Apple's 2940U2B SCSI card (which is actually made by Adaptec). It will likely be released by Apple.
