XPress slow-down problem confirmed by Quark

Adding to the previously reported Quark OPI bug: Frank Nixon describes another bug present in QuarkXPress 4.1:"a stall that occurs when deselecting a text box with OS 9/ATM Deluxe 4.5.2/Font Reserve 2.x. The lag sometimes is several seconds to a minute depending on how fast your system and how many fonts are open."

This is mentioned in a thread from the MacFixIt Forums - which has much more details. Frank also sent us the following reply from Quark Technical Support, as spotted on a Quark Forum:

There is a known problem that can cause a lag of several seconds in QuarkXPress 4.x on Mac OS 9, if a large number of fonts are loading through the Fonts folder or via a font utility such as ATM 4.5.2. This problem has been reported to Quark's QA department for investigation.

Update: Scott Hellmann suggests that this may be avariation of the slow-down previously reported as associated with Apple's Font Manager Update (see this MacFixIt item).
