Word X Test Drive: reader notes what is and is not included

CNET staff
Adam Ward offers these observations about the Word X Test Drive: "Printing has been turned off. Documents can only be saved as .doc, .rtf, or text. You can open any legacy word document thought from Word 97 up through Word XP. Windows compatibility fonts are not included. Shared office components are not included. The data merge manager is disabled. The WYSIWYG font menu is disabled. Live word count is disabled. All this is available in the included read-me that is included in the download. All in all, it works fairly nicely. Spell check and grammar check are included."

Another reader noted that printing will work from the Help windows.
