A flatter version of the Facebook app is making its way to Android users. The new look also provides for quick access to the various sections of the app using gestures. What Facebook fails to mention in the change log is that your Most Recent feed all but disappears after the update.

Thankfully, it is still available, it's just a pain to access, and the app often resets itself back to the default view.

  • First you need to tap the menu icon (located next to the notifications icon).

  • Now scroll down until you find Most Recent in the list of options. It should be about halfway down.

Rejoice! You now have access to the only feed any of us really want to use on Facebook. It's just not in your News Feed as it was in the past. Meaning, in order to consistently view your most recent items, you'll need to go back to this same spot. Selecting the News Feed icon takes you back to the feed Facebook wants you to see.
