Younger. Hotter. Wetter. Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks go back to camp in "Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp". Netflix

Across America, barbecues are being prepped, kegs readied and illegal fireworks aimed at the sky. It's the Fourth of July weekend and it's time for another wet hot American summer. In fact, it's time for the super-not-safe-for-work trailer for Netflix's "Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp."

"First Day of Camp" is an 8-episode prequel to the 2001 movie celebrating the raunchy, raucous teen comedies of the 1980s. Not only is it the latest high-profile original content from movie and TV-streaming service Netflix, but the series pulls off the impressive coup of reuniting many of the original cast members. No mean feat considering those original stars include the likes of Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper and Elizabeth Banks who have since conquered movies and TV -- and they're joined by a host of big names including Kristen Wiig, Jon Hamm, Michael Cera, Chris Pine, Jason Schwartzman and 'Weird Al' Yankovic.

Netflix has built up a strong list of original series, including "House of Cards"; "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," a comedy from many of the same creators as "30 Rock;" "Orange Is the New Black"; and "Sense8," a new program made by the Wachowski siblings of "The Matrix" fame. The company, which recently surpassed 40 million US subscribers and 20 million international subscribers, credits its packed pipeline of original TV and movies for luring subscribers in -- and keeping them.

Right. The trailer is coming up. Prepare yourself. Plug in your headphones because the language is about to get spicy. And move hot beverages out of arms reach, because one of our staffers was drinking coffee when he pressed play and he nearly killed himself. OK, here it is:

Yes, "First Day of Camp" seamlessly glosses over the fact that 15 years have passed since the original movie, and our stars are still playing teenagers. In fact, they're younger. Hotter. Wetter.

The film's creators Michael Showalter and David Wain are back in charge, with returning cast members also including Michael Ian Black, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, David Hyde Pierce and Molly Shannon.

Also revealed this week is the trailer for the second season of another Netflix original show, "Bojack Horseman". The animated comedy follows the exploits of Bojack Horseman, a washed-up former sitcom star who just happens to be a horse. An alcoholic horse. Bojack is brought to life by the bassy utterings of "Arrested Development" star Will Arnett, with "Breaking Bad" alum Aaron Paul and Alison Brie from "Community" and "Mad Men" also lending their dulcet tones.

All twelve new episodes of "Bojack Horseman" will be available to stream on 17 July in every country where Netflix is available. "Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp" is available on Netflix across the globe on 31 July.
