From Wells Fargo: "Wells Fargo's Online Banking and Bill Pay through Quicken for Macintosh will be discontinued on August 7, 1998. Unfortunately, since only a small number of our customers use this service, we are no longer able to support this service effectively." (Thanks, Danny Skarka.)

"Wells Fargo's Online Banking and Bill Pay through Quicken for Macintosh will be discontinued on August 7, 1998. Unfortunately, since only a small number of our customers use this service, we are no longer able to support this service effectively. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you."

Rob Hillman adds: "They suggested I use the Wells Fargo web site and manually import files. David Fischer writes: "Their instructions for converting to direct Internet banking requires you to alter both MSIE and Netscape (they don't tell you how, nor does anyone in tech support know how) in order to download .*qif files."

Raymond Rector replies: "The download instructions do not mention altering MISE or Netscape. The download is very simple; the only glitch is that Netscape doesn't recognize a .qif file and you have to select to save the file to your hard drive before importing into Quicken."
