Welcome to CNET Marketplace.

I'm Rick "The Cheapskate" Broida, here to introduce CNET's new destination for insider information on the best gadget deals on the Internet, plus buying advice, price alerts, and more exciting developments we can't even tell you about yet.

Every day on CNET Marketplace you'll find not only my daily post, but also a mixture of additional deals (hand-picked by yours truly), shopping guides, and tips for scoring the best prices on everything under the tech sun.

Marketplace will also offer exclusive deals from companies CNET knows and trusts. (A couple of months ago, for example, I featured one of these deals: a Pogoplug Pro network storage adapter for the ridiculously low price of $29.99.) We don't profit from our exclusive deals, either, which means our only priority is to get you the best price we can find on technology we know we love (because we've seen it ourselves) and we think will be worth your while.

Meanwhile, you'll be able to browse for deals based on specific categories, everything from cell phones and cameras to televisions and tablets. And if you're willing to wait for good deals to come to you, you can set up price alerts that will notify you of drops in prices, as well as deal alerts that notify you of deals on specific products.

Other Marketplace goodies include product price histories, which are great for seeing if a particular item is trending up or down, and a place where you can submit the killer deals you've found.

This is exciting stuff, and I'm glad to be part of it. I think you will be, too. See for yourself by visiting CNET Marketplace.
